News and Announcements

Lent 2026 is February 18 through April 4

Lent is a time of reflection and self-examination as the Church journeys toward Easter. It begins Ash Wednesday and spans 40 days (not counting Sundays).

Lent has been practiced by the Church since the fourth century. Traditionally it is observed by prayer, fasting (self-sacrifice), and giving (financially and/or in service).

The journey of Lent is opportunity to remember our own mortality and need for Christ. We focus on the suffering and sacrifice of our Lord, and the life he exampled for us to follow. Lent is a season to open ourselves to the Holy Spirit so that we may be transformed to be more like Jesus.

For more information and resources on ways to observe Lent, check out the links below.

Save the date for VBS at Fly!

June 15-17

During The Amazing Journey you are invited onto the set of a television show about teams racing for the prize of a lifetime. As team members Gene and Aaron complete physical and mental challenges we discover their story mirrors that of the Israelites in the book of Exodus. During each episode VBS participants will be audience members as well as trainees for their own “Amazing Journey" as we learn that the God of Exodus is the God of today!

Details and registration will be posted when available.

Let's read the Bible together in community.

Participate with printed, electronic, or audio versions of scripture.

The reading plan takes participants through the Bible in two years with approximately ten minutes of reading per day. The plan has organized the readings into a single chronological narrative to help one gain an understanding of the overarching story of God's Word.

Bible study interweaves Old and New Testaments so that Old Testament stories, psalms, and prophecies connect as much as possible to New Testament teaching, while maintaining its original context.
